Software firm Sisense to reportedly lay off 15% of workforce
Sisense, a software company, is following the trend of job cuts in the industry. According to an article from Israeli website Calcalist, Sisense will be laying off approximately 15% of its workforce, which amounts to around 150 employees. The layoffs will affect employees across all departments, including the Israeli headquarters where 150 people are employed. This comes after a series of developments within the company, such as the departure of senior executives last year, a small round of layoffs, and a hiring freeze.
Sisense CEO, Ariel Katz, stated, “Like any responsible company during this period, and in order to maintain the growth and level of profitability that we have sustained for a significant period of time, we realized that efficiency measures are necessary within the company. We are committed to helping the employees who are leaving find their next workplace and providing them with all the support they need during this challenging period.”
As for Amdocs, they are also experiencing layoffs, with approximately 2,000 employees, or 6.5% of their workforce, being affected. Earlier this year, Amdocs laid off around 700 employees, representing 3% of their total workforce, in their first round of layoffs. The company explained their actions by stating, “Amdocs, like other leading global companies, continually assesses the global macroeconomic conditions and takes appropriate measures to ensure sustained growth. As part of this, we periodically initiate efficiency processes while maintaining investments in areas of growth, in line with our strategic plan.”
